Material characteristic and use
Properties | Advanced martensitics stainless chromium steel for plastic moulds. Thanks to electroslag remelting, special measures in hot forminng and heat treatment and optimization of chemical composition the BOHLER grade M310 ISOPLAST offers numerous advantages: ● Capability of taking a high polish ● Good corrosion resistance ● Good photoetching properties ● Good machinability ● High wear resistance ● Air hardenability up to 100 mm |
Application | Mould for chemically aggressive plastics (e.g. PVC) and plastics containing abrasive fillers. Owing to its excellent polishability this grade is particularly suited for moulds of lenses and other kinds of optical products, such as spectacles, camera parts. BOHLER M310 ISOPLAST provides together with the stainless mould frame steel. |
